About Valley Gun Service, LLC.

Valley Gun Service was opened in 1985 by Carlton Thomas in a corner of a sporting goods shop in 1985 in Monte Vista, CO.  Since then our customers’ needs have grown and he moved the business to its present location in 1990 to start a full service gun shop with the addition of Alan Colvin as an apprentice gunsmith.  Carlton himself is a 1983 graduate of the Trinidad Gunsmithing Program.  Gunsmithing has always been their top priority.  With the addition of the Weatherby Service Center, Valley Gun Service has expanded to regions nationwide. The retail end has evolved from our customers’ interests and needs to include an extensive supply from the major manufactures.  We carry a wide assortment of guns, powder, ammunition, reloading supplies and various other accessories the avid hunter or gun enthusiast might need or want.
